4 winter trends

Style is all about experimenting. These are 4 trends I promise you'll be seeing this winter.

1.Winter white out
A fashion law is don't wear white after Labor Day, I mean that rule has been around for long as I remember. But laws are meant to be broken. Yes, you can wear white after Labor Day but there are still guidelines. You have to make sure they're winter pieces. Don't you dare bring out that white sundress in December. As long as it's done right it looks absolutely gorgeous.

2. Plaids
I went to a private school so trust me, I know all about plaid. It's making a come back and I'm loving it. It's so easy to style with and always a classic. I might just have to pull out my plaid jumper.

3. Fur vest
Nothing says "Rich bitch" like a nice fur vest. Sometimes it's hard to pull off a fur vest but when you do, you look so fabulous. Pair with a chiffon collard shirt, great sunnies and pull your hair in a sleek ponytail or sock bun and you'll look great.

4. Wool shorts
Now if you know me you know I don't let the seasons control my life. It'll be 30 degrees and you better believe I'll still have an iced coffee in my hand. I think that's why I'm so happy to see wool shorts this season. I even got myself a pair from Piperlime in a plaid pattern. Pair them with opaque tights underneath and a great loafer.

Lazy chic

I love being lazy, I mean duh who doesn't? But that doesn't mean I let myself look lazy. The only time I will wear uggs is if it's snowing, below 20 degrees or just lounging around the house. Winter isn't all about uggs and sweatshirts. I promise you there is a way to be lazy and still look great.

When I hear lazy I think leggings...basically synonyms, right? Believe it or not there are right and wrong ways to wear leggings. Don't let anyone tell you leggings are pants because they are not. I've noticed that when leggings are worn as pants they make your body look awkward and unflattering. When you wear them you should wear a longer shirt like a button down or an oversized sweater. My favorite to wear with leggings is my oversize chambray shirt.

I don't believe in uggs but I do believe in boots. Get a good pair of boots and everything you wear will look complete. I love tall riding boots and little booties. Also pair them with long socks! If you know me, I pretty much wear high socks with almost everything. I'm obsessed! They look so good and for sure pull everything all together.

Don't be the cookie cutter lazy girl. You can still dress lazy without anyone knowing. Don't look like everyone else. Whatever you wear always look and feel confident!

Rings & things.

Lately I've been channeling my inner flower child. I love the whole bohemian gypsy look for the fall. I've especially come to love all the jewelry that comes with this bohemian trend.

Midi rings are everything!!! If you don't know what they are they're rings that don't go all the way down, they are sized to fit the middle of your finger! Mix those with regular rings and I promise you'll get tons of complements. I got mine from Nordstrom in the junior's section online. Surprisingly they were so cheap! And you can never pass up free shipping!

I also love a big bold necklace with a simple one. I got my necklaces from an antique shop. If you're going for the bohemian look, visit any antique or thrift shop and I promise you'll find the coolest jewelry pieces. Plus who doesn't love a good sale?!?

Lastly, as long as it's done in the right way, don't be scared to mix a little gold with a little silver. Mixing those in small quantities is key. My favorite is rose gold with silver.

Now go out there and find your inner gypsy.

Tips while wearing all black

The "all black everything" trend has been around since the HBIC (head bitch in charge) Coco Chanel, introduced it as not a sad color to wear, but an elegant color. All black has been my go-to lately, especially that it's starting to get super cold.

Ladies, invest in a pair of plain black jeans. You'll thank me later. When wearing all black play around with your patterns and textures, don't be scared to step out of the box and try something totally different. Also, layer up!!! Layering can make an outfit look so much more interesting and it'll keep the people around you wondering what ya got going on for you. My other tip is to experiment with your colors. My all time favorite is all black with gold accents. That to-die-for gold watch or earrings can make an outfit come all together.
Last tip, invest in a black leather jacket this winter. Again, you'll thank me later. It's a perfect layering piece that can pull an outfit all together. Plus, a remarkable leather jacket never goes out of style.

So ladies, dress in all black, throw on that classic red lip and I promise you'll conquer the world looking hot.

This betch said what?!?!?

Seconds before I came crashing down on my knees, hands folded together praying to the fashion Gods, this betch said "It's my dream to own a pair of Louis Vuitton red bottoms"
Now there are 2 types of people, some of you reading this thinking "wait what?" And there are people like me, who wanted to jump halfway across the room and smack some fashion knowledge into the betch.

Now, class is in session. Miss. Fashionista is here to help for those who are like wait, what?
Although when pronounced they do sound very alike. They are both French designers. Louis Vuitton and Louboutin are like the north and south, completely different. Louis vuitton produces clothing, shoes, accessories and their famous traveling cases. Louis Vuitton died in 1892, but now is run by the fab Marc Jacobs.
Louboutin is known for those gorgeous crazy shoes with the signature red sole. Christian Louboutin is 50 years old and still designing.

Differences? Louis Vuitton is way more on the conservative side. Louis Vuitton's signature is that fab monogram! While Louboutin is much more edgier and on the wild side. Not that not all of louboutins shoes are crazy, because he still has those beautiful they-match-with-every-damn-thing-in-my-closet shoes. Louboutin's signature is that classy red-lacquered sole on every shoe.

So now, class is over and you left this page with a little more fashion knowledge.

Hugs & kisses, betches.

3 Fall Closet Staples

Do you ever just look in your closet and think..."oh what the hell?" Because I do it about 30 times a day! Sometimes picking out what to wear can be such a task, especially in the fall. I mean, ladies, you can only wear Ugg boots and leggings with your favorite sweater so much before all you betches start to look alike!

So far it hasn't been cold enough to wear cute little tights, so we're transitioning into the colder weather with tall socks. Thigh high, knee high, wool, ribbed, you name it. The best thing about them is that they go with everything, dresses, skirts, jeans and even shorts! I'm totally obsessed  with them, pair it with the right shoes and you look fab but even better, still comfy!

Also, we all know it's a no brainer that boots for fall are everything! Every fall and winter I notice the same thing...that betch that has those old, water stained, foot leaning to the side...UGGS. Then you take a look at your own and think hmmm, maybe mine are a little beat up too...Well, it's time to put those babies AWAY. (It has become a personal goal of mine to not wear them a whole lot this year.) I feel like you should at least 3 types of boots this fall, short, medium and those badass knee high boots. They are a closet staple!!!

Last, but certainly not the least fall favorite, jackets! I mean duh, common sense! These past years I've had a hard time of buying a jacket then finding myself just hating it the next month. But I won't let that happen this year! This year you just have to have a leather jacket and utility jackets! I have become obsessed with utility jackets this season because they look good with anything!! That just doesn't happen. Also, leather is everything this season! And when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING, I'm completely obsessed!! So since I'm obsessed with the two, why not combine them?

Pictures are all below.

Trend alert: snakeskin

Wait...did she really just say snakeskin is a trend this year? YES, I did! As crazy as it may seems, snakeskin is a very popular theme this year. The print is making appearances in ads for Gucci, Prada, Roberto Cavalli and many others.

I find myself strangely drawn to and yet repelled by snakeskin. Some smart betch said less is more, and that saying right there should be your motto for this print. Accessorize people, I can't say it enough...accessorize, accessorize, accessorize, ACCESSORIZE. That's the most important thing when pulling together a look. I mean everyone knows that, it's in the fashion bible, duh!
Accents will be key, shoes, purses, clutches, jewelry, & phone cases are the cutest way to throw in this pattern to tie your whole look together.
